Area of Clinical Interest
Capable of managing patients with Respiratory diseases in an Out- patient setup, In-patient setup in Emergency rooms and management of critical patients in I.C.U.
Outpatient facilities includes assessment of surgical fitness, fitness for chemotherapy, fitness for Bone marrow transplantation and post- transplant work up which is done using spirometry.
Other outpatient facilities include assessment and treatment for pulmonary infections, acute exacerbations of underlying lung diseases, pleural tapping which includes both diagnostic and therapeutic pleural tapping.
Diffusion Capacity of Lungs for Carbon monoxide (DLCO) is performed in patients to identify early chemotherapy or transplant related complications, and as a part of surgical fitness for lung resection surgeries.
Diagnostic Bronchoscopy procedures are carried out which includes taking a Broncho-alveolar lavage for undiagnosed lung infections and Bronchoscopic lung biopsy for endobronchial lung lesions.
